Osteria Giorgione is part of the grand Hotel Giorgione complex in Santi Apostoli, in the historic centre of Venice.
The first evidence of the Hostaria di Santi Apostoli’s existence in Venice dates back to the second half of the 19th century. It was only at the end of the century that the Hostaria was expanded with the purchase of the adjacent building, and so it became known as Albergo Giorgione.
Its owners were the Dolcetti family, originally from the island of Pellestrina where they had been running a pastry business for decades The Albergo Giorgione was entrusted to Giovanni Dolcetti, a well-known author of art books in Venice and a great scholar of painting. Over the years the hotel passed through the hands of various owners but remained in the same family. This was until Luciano Pasotto took over and to whom the hotel owes its great transformation and achievement of its 4 stars. Luciano Pasotto is also the man behind the restoration and reopening of Osteria Giorgione, now run by Chef Serghei Hachi.
